The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has extended warm congratulations to Professor Nentawe Yilwatda on his appointment as the National Chairman of the party, describing the development as both commendable and well-earned.
In an official statement issued on Thursday, the Lagos APC’s Publicity Secretary, Seye Oladejo, said Yilwatda’s emergence reflects his steadfast commitment to the core values of the party and his outstanding credentials in both public administration and political leadership.
“Professor Yilwatda’s appointment to this critical leadership position is a fitting recognition of his unwavering dedication to the party’s progressive ideals, his remarkable background as a technocrat, and his notable service to democratic governance in Nigeria,” Oladejo stated.
The party expressed confidence that Yilwatda’s leadership would usher in a new phase of cohesion, strategic planning, and revitalization of grassroots engagement, elements it considers crucial to sustaining the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration.
“As a political organization anchored on progressivism and national development, we believe that Professor Yilwatda’s tenure will foster renewed unity, sharpen the party’s strategic focus, and deepen grassroots participation. These are key pillars for building on the successes of the Tinubu-led federal government,” the statement noted.
The Lagos APC also commended the party’s leadership for ensuring a smooth leadership transition and reaffirmed its full support for the new chairman and the National Working Committee.
“We applaud the party hierarchy for a seamless succession process, which reinforces the APC’s dedication to internal democracy, transparency, and excellence,” Oladejo added.
The party extended its best wishes to the new national chairman, expressing optimism about his tenure.
“We wish Professor Yilwatda a productive and impactful tenure in office. Together, we will continue striving for a stronger APC and a more prosperous Nigeria,” the statement added.
