Rivers United are pushing to sign forward, Sikiru Alimi from reigning Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, champions Remo Stars.
According to reports, Alimi is open to a more lucrative move away from Remo Stars.
Alimi’s contract with the Sky Blue Stars will expire at the end of this month.
Rivers United technical adviser Finidi George is reportedly a big fan of the tall striker.
He is expected to decide his future after the African Nations Championship.
Alimi is currently in the Super Eagles B team in preparation for the tournament.
