Bayern Munich have lost midfielder Jamal Musiala to a potentially long-term injury.

Musiala sustained a leg injury during Bayern Munich’s FIFA Club World Cup quarter-final clash with Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday evening.

YARN NAIJA reports that the Germany international was stretchered off following a heavy collision with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The Italian goalkeeper was visibly emotional and could not hold back his tears after seeing Musiala’s foot twisted.

The clash against PSG marked Musiala’s first start in three months. He currently has three goals in the Club World Cup, making him one of the competition’s top scorers.

The 22-year-old is one goal behind Ángel Di María, who recently announced that his time in Europe was over.
