A Special Adviser to the Kebbi State Governor, Hon. Nasiru Muhammad Dan Umma, popularly known as Katukan Kabi, has resigned his appointment and officially defected from the All Progressives Congress, APC, to the African Democratic Congress, ADC.
Yarn Naija gathered that Dan Umma, a former member of the Kebbi State House of Assembly, conveyed his resignation in a letter dated July 7, 2025, and addressed to the APC Ward Chairman of Kokani South Ward in Argungu Local Government Area.
“I have withdrawn from the All Progressives Congress and joined the African Democratic Congress,” the letter stated in part. The message, originally written in Hausa, explained that the decision was made in good faith, with a prayer that it benefits all parties involved.
Dan Umma’s defection comes amid growing political realignment in Kebbi State, as parties begin early preparations for the 2027 general elections.
